I specialise in making Modern Irish 34 string Harps. I use walnut and cherry as they are ideal for tonal quality and durability. They also look incredibly beautiful.

There are small but noticeable differences between the two woods. While using words to describe sound can be an endeavor fraught with peril, I will try my best. My Cherry harps tend to have excellent treble clarity and projection, with a strong bass sound. Ideal for playing in ensembles where you have to be heard over other musicians. My Walnut harps tend to have a more rounded sound with a warm and mellow tone, while still projecting to the back of the room effortlessly.
